::sigh:: I remember a time when those vocab exercises were
just sentences rather than LSD trips. =P

Son aude vae ruhes.

Digun en herva ere iolgaele.

Nau poessen ostinder mi en cuoba sin aelter.
[no 'pass@n AS'tind@r miN gu@b sin 'Elt@r]

Note: |Aelter| is from Latin "arbiter" with euphonic r -> l.

> 5. foreign
> They say I'm a dirty foreign wretch, but I'm a naturalized citizen.

Digun me ere foete un balber frende, sed sou u hifcu lehaele.
['di:g@ m e:r fAjt @m 'balb@r frend sed zow @ hifk le'hajl]

Note: |Balber| is from "barbarus", again with euphony.
|Hifcu| is from "civicus", since "civis" would yield
|hive| [hi:v], which sounds just like |hivu| [hi:v]
"food". =P

> 7. supper
> All I know is, I'm earning my supper.

Mi ei cura, meiro mi en hena.
[mi e gu:r 'mejrA min e:n]

Note: |Mi ei cura| means about "for what I care, as far as
I'm concerned".

> 8. mud
> Actually, I know something else: my supper tastes like mud.

Omione, curo eja aegod: Mi hena saebe ni drecce.
[A'mi@n 'ku:rA e:j 'ajgA mi he:n sajb ni drek]

Note: |Curo eja aegod| ~ "I care about yet something =
something else as well".

> 9. cupboard
> My cupboard is devoid of food, as is my refrigerator.

Mi penaerun vaga ni hibu, ize mi frizaerun.
[mi be'najr@ va:g ni 'hi:b i:z mi bri'zajr@]

Note: Using |penaerun| "larder" rather than |arwaerun|
"cupboard".

> 10. alcohol
> My significant other keeps a large amount of alcohol there, though.

Mi xore teine ille immindse un penu nys podu.
[mi So:r tejn il im'mindz @m be:n ny po:d]

Note: |Podu| means "alcoholic beverage/drink". Jovian
distinguishes |podare| "to drink alcohol" from |biver|
"to drink (against thirst)" and |tringer| "to drink to
... (as a toast)". Jervaine has a rich tradition of
beverages, both alcoholic and soft, so the distinction
is not out of place.
