Sorry, I'm a bit behind replying to some emails. To
answer your question, C-a hue is [hue]. There are
couplets in the language like huideli and fidu which
both mean faithful, but the first is native and the
second is a learned borrowing. So in native words I
have fa hue hui fo fu, but in borrowed words fe and fi
do exist. This rule seems to have gone inactive
around the time of the Reconquista or perhapsa a bit
earlier. And there is atleast one example -- felari
-- of a word that did not change. I have no
explination for why this word is not *huelari.
