I figured as much. It's probably done in most of the
others, too. My references for everything but Spanish
and Italian are rather skimpy. I couldn't even fid a
reference to whether Catalan even HAS a passive. I'm
sure it must (mustn't it?) but passives aren't even
mentioned in the material I have. Same for Romansch.

Probably right. If that's so (which was what I
thought I remembered hearing) then Arabic is out as a
source for C-a's passives.
